Thank Cleveland City Council for Passing the Domestic Partnership Registry!
On Monday, December 8th, Cleveland City Council became the third city in Ohio – joining Cleveland Heights and Toledo – to create a domestic partnership registry.
While the registry does not create any new legal rights, it can be an invaluable tool for unmarried same and opposite sex couples to access other services – such as employment benefits, child care, hospital visitation, and more.
The new registry also sends a message to the community that all families are valued and respected.
