Hey folks!

the Permaculture interest group is happening. Hope to see you at the next ones!
- When: Tue. Dec.6th; and Wed.Dec.14(,just before full moon)
- Times:6:15pm-8:00
- Where: Detroit Avenue Arts(parish hall), 6205 Detroit Ave...between w.61st and w.64th st., on the south side of the road. Park inside of the fenced parking area. Go in to the large, square building.(look for sign on door)

What: Pot luck (pot o' soup also provided, so come even if you can't make something)and discussion about how we'd like to conduct on- going groups to expand our Permaculture,connecting, networking, sharing interests. Our host, Daniel Ray, would also like to show us around his gardens. Bring a flash light for detailed observation if you'd like.

What to bring: for next group ...If you have: in- put on group process, your experiences positive & negative, and ideas/suggestions for creating an equalitarian, productive, fun enough time for all, please bring those ideas to share. Also, share your Permaculture related ideas & interests if you haven't shared and would like to.

*We would like to work out future meetings, to fit schedules if possible. please call Meagen kresge at 631-3059 to let me know your schedule, if Tues or Weds nights are impossible.

* Parents: Child supervision & activity is also a possibility during the group. Please Call Meagen at 631- 3059 -after 6pm, to discuss this idea.

Summary of the last two meetings:

-Bill Mollison's Permaculture video: The Global Gardener ,
was viewed. It took us around the globe to see different PC projects in tropical, cold weather, desert, and urban climates. We started discussing what Permaculture is about.
-We shared our permaculture related interests and practices, including: learning about growing food & connecting with our food source, non- fossil fueled transportation and bikes, water systems- like grey water, composting, composting toilets, green houses, getting community garden plots together, connecting with the W.side market and new food co- op, "gorilla" gardening, native plants, wild edibles, Permaculture related livelihood, personal sustainable living, community outreach, natural building and design, urban and rural living options, grass roots organizing, diversity of people sharing knowledge an community, affordable living, supporting eachother's efforts, diaper free babies, educating, having a Permaculture course in Cleveland...and more, of course.:)
-We mentioned what could keep us interested in getting together as a group, including: food, study, everyone can have air time, equalitarian atmosphere & facilitation, sharing leadership and organizing roles, supporting each other's projects, visiting those projects, learning, teaching, videos, presentations.....
-Some ideas were mentioned about how we could conduct effective, sustainable, enjoyable, group process , such as concesus process, using a talking stick... ...discussion to be continued.
