Rally and March to His Home
Sunday, October 7, 2007
4:00 PM
Wildwood Park, 17206 Neff Rd., Cleveland

Protest Sen. Voinovich's Ongoing Support of the Iraq War and Occupation.

WE call for Sen. Voinovich to end his support since 2003 for the Iraq war and for war funding (already more than $450 billion -- over $423 million from City of Cleveland taxpayers alone!).
WE call on Sen. Voinovich to support the troops by bringing them home now!
WE call on Sen. Voinovich to seek redirection of war spending to meet human and security needs of neighborhoods (housing, jobs, education, energy, transportation, health care, infrastructure, etc.).

Schedule for Sunday, October 7
4:00 PM: Rally at Wildwood Park.
4:30 PM: Short march to home of Sen. Voinovich.
5:00 PM: Demonstration in front of Sen. Voinovich's home and delivery of "Sunday Dinner."

Delivery of “Sunday Dinner” to Senator Voinovich:
- PORK - to represent the "pork" contracts in Iraq paid by US taxpayers to reconstruction corporations and military production corporations tied to the Bush administration.
- BACON - to represent what Sen. Voinovich has not brought home to his neighborhood (money for infrastructure, health care, education, housing, transportation, energy, etc.).
- TURKEY - to represent what the Iraq war/occupation has been from day 1.
- WATER - to represent what the people of Baghdad and elsewhere in Iraq do not have in sufficient quantity.
- OIL (olive, corn, or substitute) - to represent what the Iraq war/occupation has been about from the beginning.
- JALAPENO PEPPER – to represent the anger Iraqis and people around the world feel toward US foreign policy.
