Not in Our Name urges everyone to give to loud NO! to the Bush Agenda of war and repression when Cheney & Edwards debate tomorrow, Tuesday, at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

Meet up at 6pm for the Earth flag contingent
*Bring your Earth flags, write a big NO! on your shirt or
jacket (with magic marker or duct tape), and gather at the corner of Juniper and Ford in University Circle (across from the botanical gardens).
*We will then march to the Intermural Field off East Blvd to join a 6:30 anti-war/anti-imperialist rally.
*At 7 pm, all of us will march together to the "Free Speech" Zone, off Euclid

NOW AND AFTER THE ELECTIONS
WE ARE STILL AGAINST THE WAR!
NOT IN OUR NAME STATEMENT – OCTOBER 1, 2004

Join Not In Our Name in building the next wave of resistance to deliver a resounding “NO” to war and repression here and abroad. No matter the
outcome of the presidential election on Nov 3rd, we are still against the war. We still say Not in Our Name to endless war on the world,
police state restrictions, and detentions and round-ups of immigrants.

The world will have their eyes cast on this presidential
election. Billions wish to see the defeat of George W. Bush and Co. because they have concentrated the horrendous agenda of the U.S. Empire, and
have carried out a campaign of terror against the people of the world. Tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians have been killed, and the death toll of U.S.
soldiers continues to mount. Though Bush has carried out these atrocities,defeat of this administration would be only a small step in
our quest for a better world.

We see a much larger enemy than any one political party or official. We see a system that wants to limit the scope of people’s political life to a vote every few years. We have infinitely more power than this! We
need a climate where people engage in political action and social dialogue because this is the fabric of the world in which we envision ourselves. It isour right and responsibility to chart a different course for the
future.

By engaging in struggle together every day we contribute to building a culture and climate of resistance. We choose to make common
cause with the people of the world. Our strength is our collectivity. We are the ones who will determine the course of history. As people living in the
United States, it is our absolute responsibility to engage ourselves in the creation of the future that we all share.

All over the planet people are resisting. There is no
shortage of inspiration, no lack of example. People are standing up to corrupt governments, corporations, a growing police state, and all other instruments of repression. In Iraq, Palestine, Nepal, Venezuela, and New York City, the people have made their voices heard. It is fearless, it is beautiful, and it is the inspiration to continue to build the movements that
can stop this madness.

In this spirit, Not in Our Name is making a call to action. What the resistance will look like is ultimately up to the people. When we join together as people of conscience to say NO to all the injustice and to make the leap towards a better world, we are our best selves. No one person alone can do what is necessary for change, but together, in our varied forms of resistance, struggle, and creation, we can bring about another world.

NO WAR ON THE WORLD, NO POLICE STATE RESTRICTIONS, NO DETENTIONS &ROUNDUPS!

NO TO ATTACKS ON CIVIL RIGHTS, RACIAL PROFILING AND POLICE BRUTALITY!
