In Toledo, OH the polls opened late at Glenwood Elementary and closed temporarily when the site ran out of pencils this morining.
Polls opened one half-hour late today at Glenwood Elementary in Toledo, OH, because the ballot boxes were locked in the principal's office and no one had the key, said Evan of the League of Pissed Off Voters. During the wait from 6:30 to 7AM, people left the polls without having voted. An hour and a half after the polling site opened, they ran out of pencils, bringing voting to a halt. Voting could not continue until 11AM, by which time 50 to 100 more people had walked away.

This report is dubious and should be substantially confirmed before anyone uses it for any purpose. We don't need false alarms. According to this report, the polling site supposedly ran out of pencils an hour and a half after the actual opening, which followed the initial half hour delay; thus the site would have run out of pencils at 8:30. It reopened, according to the report, at 11:00. Two and a half hours delay for pencils in a school in Toledo? This sounds unlikely.

yeah, 2 1/2 hours for pencils? did they have to cut down the tree themselves? and right, because no one had a pencil, anywhere, in a SCHOOL, sounds like a bad comedy sketch...
