These are a few photos in chronological order from Ohios response to Bush's regime. I have more and will probably publsih them with some short movie clips as a real article in the future, when i have time.

Long story short, people showed up marched from the federal building at 5pm to the State House, stood in the lawn to get videoed by the news, the highway patrol pushed us off of the grass and so people stood on the steps in defiance of police order and some people debated civil disobedience, the police stood back and then eventually left because of a rumoured shift change and people went along networking, until we all left.

Wow, that was your big protest. Tell you what, let's count 'em up and add 'em to the tally. You still got yer god damn ass kicked. It's the asshole segment that brought all us Bush people out to the polls. Thanks for GIVING us another win.

It is interesting to note the graciousness of the Repuplicans who have posted here. Those who claim to be REAL protesters and those who just wish to complain about others. Open you eyes people, of course there were problems and I admire these folks that did something about it. You would too, if you really cared about the system.

Ok. It's hard to wrap up my feelings, on many of these posts, into a small paragraph. First of all, the lack of respect for other peoples ideas has me StaringINawe. We need to embrace the various ideas of the masses and take some time to understand these views. Verbal assault and name calling do not create compromise, instead they promote more misunderstanding, and worst of all, hatred. Now for my main point. What I saw here delivered an intense sense of deja vu. I think all of you have been taking notes during Dubya's speeches. Geoge W. Bush is a hater, Ladies and Gentlemen. The expressions on that man's face when somebody criticizes the war on Iraq, paints a vivid picture of his mentality. It's his way, or nothing at all, and you cannot tell me you don't see the same thing. It's disturbing. That is something that DID impress me about John Kerry. He allowed others to speak and formulated an intelligent rebuttle. He did not scoff at Bush's asinine comments about his pointless, unwinnable war. He even kept a warm face when his wife(I dare not speak her name) talked for 20 minutes about her ex-husband and how she was still a republican. However, I cannot condone some of his values. Lose = Lose situation. There's my views everyone, take it or leave it.

Open Letter To John Kerry and the Democratic Party National Central Committee

This is the second Presidential Campaign debacle with the Democratic Candidate conceding to the opposition long before the final vote count. What is going on? Did either John Kerry or Al Gore ever ask what the voters wanted? Or what their supporter’s desired? Do they even give a damn? I have to wonder.

John Kerry spent most of last year convincing the Democratic Party he was the best choice to run against Bush. He was experienced and tested in battle. He was not a quitter. He could lead our party better then any other potential candidate – Better then Dick Gephardt or Howard Dean; better then Wes Clarke or John Edwards; better then Carol Moseley Braun or Al Sharpton or Dennis Kucinich.

Not only was he the BEST choice, but he was a Winner!

To enable him to conquer all, we, the poor and middle-class, sent him our hard earned dollars to pay for advertising. We spent our weekends and evenings making phone calls and doorbelling our neighborhoods. We searched out unregistered voters and convinced them their vote would make a difference. We wrote letters to the editor, and harangued our friends and relatives in the name of John Kerry and the Democratic Party.

Less then 8 hours before he conceded the election John Kerry sent poor gullible young John Edwards out to assure us that in 2004 “Every vote would count, and EVERY vote would be counted!”

Right! Tell that to the voters who got up hours early and went to the polls, then waited in the rain for two or three hours for the privilege of voting, Tell that to the thousands of Black and Hispanic voters who were disenfranchised - again. And be certain to get the message to the people who lost pay to go the polls, and had to bring their young children to stand and wait for hours because they didn’t have a baby sitter. Make sure you tell the people who traveled to battleground states to monitor the polls and help the campaign in any way they could. And please, don’t forget those who spent Election Day making long-distance calls to get out the vote at their own expense.

Losing would be bad enough. But, to have the candidate who had no difficulty asking us to sacrifice for him, sell us all down the river when the going got tough, stinks, The stench comes from the heart of the Democratic Party Leadership. These sleazy people are more than willing to give away the election, cheat the voters and the country in the name of “unity”. They will join the Republicans in dividing up the spoils, rather then insisting on fair and open counting of the ballots and ensuring that the will of the people is foremost.

They have no Shame! They are as complicit and guilty as George W. Bush and Dick Cheney in the destruction of our country and our constitution. Every death in Iraq is on their souls. The abuse and torture of prisoners, the war crimes committed by this Administration will be laid at their door too.
Every time they look in the mirror, they will see the politician who sold out his country to kiss up to a bunch of country club cowboys, religious fanatics and warmongers. Condoning the destruction of all we’ve been striving for is wrong. Unity with Fascists simply brands them as Quislings.

They may think we can be sold out at no cost to themselves, but we will never concede. We will never quit fighting for Peace and Justice – And, never quit damning the craven 21st Century Leadership of the Democratic Party. What a bunch of hypocrites!

I think it's wonderful how many people are standing up against the tyranny that informed people know is going on; regardless of the media suppression. We need to continue to say no when our rights are stomped on, because it's not going to get any better. They people who are orchestrating the removal of our rights cannot do so without OUR cooperation! Things like the National ID Card, VeriChip, and the Information Matrix that the Dept. of Fatherland Security wants to implement are all infringments upon our personal privacy and liberty. There is going to be a continued push for giving up our liberties for increased security and protection from their fabricated terrorist enemies. Look who stands to gain! JUST SAY NO!

It is our job as citizens to watch our government. Our first mistake was in giving it too much money and too much power.

George Bush won by 2% of the vote and much to his dismay the other 49% live in his country too. If the facts are wrong, prove it. That is the beauty of fact, it can be proven right or wrong.

If it is a matter of differing philosophies such as competetion vs. cooperation as a lifestyle and culture choice, then it is a matter of opinions.

I no longer wish to live in a survival of the fittest community. I want to cooperate without being called a socialist or communist and I want to express myself without having to leave my "free" country or be subject to insults from those who disagree with me.

When a president can ignore millions of protestors we have a breakdown in the system. Once upon a time we could rely on journalists to keep servants honest but they no longer exist having been replaced by actors. Now we must rely on each other and progressive media is the most important thing on our agendas.

No side has a corner on truth and we will not be able to figure this mess out unless we learn to listen. When you merge the democrat and republican lines of thought its almost a balanced view. Too far to the right ,too far to the left and its all screwed up again.

It's not about who won or lost anymore. It's about the integrity of our Democracy. It's about fairness and accountability. If the Ohio recount shows W won, fine. If, however, fraud or even unitentional error is uncovered, then we have to change the system or it will collapse. If one voter is miscounted, uncounted or harrassed and intimidated, we all lose. What's at stake is not the next four years alone. What's at stake is the future of America's Democracy. Remember Democracy? It's what we're trying to export to the Middle East. Why should they listen to us if our own system is flawed or corrupt?

So, what geniuses think that perfect voting is possible?
Answer: None, because in any complex system, perfection is not possible.

"Every vote must count" is an unobtainable goal in any country, and will never be realized any time in the future anywhere.

The best anyone reasonably can hope for is a fairly high percentage of legitimate vote casting and counting. Any election anywhere has anomalies of some sort. Get real already !!

That being said, we need to strive towards those high percentages, but as long as each state has its own methods and rules, there can be no total agreement nationwide.

However, it is not likely that states would defer to the Fed to unify voting rules and methods. So what are you going to do?

Please stop whining and keep looking for the truth.
Don't settle on any version from either side until things are sorted out more.

But when all the facts come out, please don't deny your itellegence and participate with those that champion their gut feelings rather than accepting the truth.

Is "no election is perfect" supposed to be an excuse for fraud? If so, it's a bad one.

And, last time I checked, we weren't a democracy before the election. I think it's alot more attributable to 150 years of corporate rule than a couple questionable votes in Ohio during the 2004 election. Sorry to say, democracy was already dead or the candidates wouldn't have been Bush and Kerry.

There's so many more productive social-justice oriented things you could be doing with your time than wasting it on a re-count that will accomplish nothing. It's not like Bush won by 5, 10, or 20 thousand votes; it was over 100,000, and there's nothing you'll find that will result in the government turning over the presidency to Kerry.

People working in buisness make the money that keep the government going, and not just the corp elites run things. That would only happen if the govt sided with them and didn't listen to the people.

Well, this is one of the most inane rants I've heard in a while. There's no way I can educate you to the extent you're lacking. I'm assuming you're a teenager or younger because of the empty, shallow catch-phrases and dispelled myths you're using. Hopefully as you grow older you'll spend more time reading books; I suggest, since you're still a beginner, starting with Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States", or even reading a couple articles at Zmag.org. You've still got a long way to go, but that would at least be a start.
