A report from the Oberlin March 19 Events. We began with our weekly peace vigil, supplemented by about four times as many people as usual (a total of 41 people) and reading names of Iraqis and Americans killed in the war over a megaphone. This went from noon til 12:30. Afterwards, we had a letter-writing event at the public library. About 8-10 people stopped by to write letters to their legislators, and a string quartet came to play a couple pieces for us. The events, especially the vigil, were a good way for people in Oberlin to see that others oppose this war. .
