"Saturn's Hyperion: a moon with odd craters":

(APOD's illustration at the link above is so utterly ludicrous it makes me cry with laughter. doesn't NASA have any quality control regading the fake images it produces of the "Cassini probe of Saturn"?)

Stallone fined in Australia for hormone import:

(i personally think that steroids are evil...they'll turn you into a macho jerk and give you brain cancer afterwards.

Sports fans, take note of the coming French Open. history will be made. the stars have aligned; the planets are all in geo-synchronous orbit. based on their track record for the last couple of years, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are on the brink of a very memorable championship duel.

Federer is gunning for a Grand Slam. this is a colossal achievement in contemporary sports. (what could possibly be greater? Winning all slams in golf comes close; but i happen to think that Federer's chores are harder than Tiger's.)

meanwhile, Rafa is going for his third straight French Open title. his career path so far looks like the greatest clay court player ever. Injuries are the only thing for his camp to worry about.

Fed and Rafa both have to win six matches to face each other. that's a harder job for Federer because this is his worst surface.

so, first they have to meet each other. then who knows what could happen? they've had some fantastic matches in recent years.

Go Fed!
