May animals no longer be killed to allay human hunger. Besides
their intrinsic rights, their flesh yields 100 to 1000 lbs an
acre as compared to 450,000 or more lbs per acre for
fruit and nut tree, bean and squash and tomato vine etc.

and global temperature extremes. Animal agriculture takes
at least 81 times the production energy that nut protein
takes. One can theoretically poke an unshelled almond into
the ground and come back in a few years for the gifts the
sun, rain, mother earth and air have dropped into our laps.
