I’d Rather Be a Socialist
by Stewart A. Alexander Thursday, Jul. 09, 2009 at 12:47 PM

Where do you stand? Are you a socialist or a capitalist?

I’d Rather Be a Socialist
Than a Capitalist

To be a capitalist would require that you qualify to be a member of the world’s super rich ruling elite. You would need to step on others to rise to the top in a world that is predicated on what’s in it for me, me, me!

The socialist is one that believes in the principles of a democratic socialist society based on compassion, empathy and respect as well as the development of new social structures. Socialists strive to establish a new social and economic order in which workers and community members will take responsibility for and control of their interpersonal relationships, their neighborhoods, their local government, and the production and distribution of all goods and services.

The socialist is a member of the world’s working class majority.

Where do you stand?
